June 5th 8:30 - 12:00: Classroom Gardens and Reducing Waste in the Classroom
Join us this summer for an exciting and enriching 2-day professional development workshop at Willoughby Farm, in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension and Green Schools, along with experts from Good Dirt Composting Coalition.
This workshop is designed to empower Illinois teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to create engaging educational experiences through school gardening, sustainability practices, and farm-to-school initiatives. Participants will earn CPDU hours while learning how to integrate hands-on urban growing and composting into their classrooms to enhance student learning and foster a love for the environment.
