Scott Credit Union Wins Two Diamond Awards for Outstanding Community Impact

Edwardsville, IL – April 21, 2025 – Scott Credit Union (SCU) has been honored with two prestigious Diamond Awards from the Marketing, PR & Development Council of America’s Credit Unions. The awards recognize SCU’s commitment to community engagement, financial education, and impactful storytelling.  
 
SCU received the following accolades: 
 

  • Community Partnership – St. Louis Cardinals: Celebrating SCU’s impactful collaboration with the St. Louis Cardinals through programs that support youth, veterans, and financial education. 
  • Video Non-commercial Series – Surprise Squad: Acknowledging the heartwarming partnership with KMOV’s Surprise Squad, which brings joy and support to those in need across the region. 
 
The Marketing, PR & Development Council of America’s Credit Unions announced the winners of the annual Diamond Awards, which recognize the best marketing campaigns in the credit union industry. This year, 1,400 submissions were received, with 180 credit unions from 42 states earning awards for their outstanding efforts. 
 
Scott Credit Union’s partnership with KMOV’s Surprise Squad embodies its dedication to making a difference in people’s lives. Through at least 12 surprise initiatives annually, SCU has helped foster families, honored veterans, supported children fighting cancer, and uplifted educators and nonprofits. These efforts not only provide immediate relief but also inspire countless community members to take action and support those in need. 
 
Since 2018, Scott Credit Union has partnered with the St. Louis Cardinals to enhance the lives of St. Louis residents. In 2024, SCU supported four key initiatives: Redbird Rookies, the Player Ticket Program, Salute to Service Weekend Benefiting the Veterans Community Project, and Budgeting Buddies. These programs have provided educational resources, financial literacy, and unforgettable experiences to underserved youth, families, and veterans.
